Wallace West

Having traveled the globe and lived on three different continents, West enthusiastically combines his multicultural exposure with formal training from Parsons School of Design in Paris and the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, giving his images a feeling of fine art with a universal and comical approachability. Apart from his extremely lazy beagle-mix, Sammy Joe, his influences span the spectrum from Quentin Blake to Modigliani to Parisian couture. Wallace has studied with The School of Visual Arts in New York City and Parsons School of Design in Paris and is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and CBIG (Children's Book Illustrators Group).
