Come one, come all to the Send a Smile Holiday Card Design Challenge! We are preparing for the holiday season by decking the halls, stocking the fridge and preparing to deal with relatives.

When you need a break from buying gifts and long lines, head on over to www.sendasmile.com and enter our Holiday Card Design Challenge. Create a card for the holiday that you and your family celebrate and share it with others for a chance to win prizes!

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, we want to see your designs or maybe you wan’t to make a card for the New Year. Whatever card you choose to create just make sure you tag it with the word HOLIDAY in order for it to be automatically entered into our design challenge.

For this design challenge we will have THREE categories to enter. 

:) The first is our “photo” card category. Photo greeting cards must have a block of space available to be easily personalized with their own photos on the front.

:) Secondly we have our comedy category, where you must pair a comedic illustration with some witty text. Something along the lines of a grandma got run over by a reindeer type card.

:) The third and final category is our Classic Category. This can be a card with religious/spiritual text or a more classic holiday illustration.

These cards will be judged by all who frequent Send a Smile, anyone can rate your card with our 5 star rating system. All cards are voted on by the public first by rating the cards from 1-5, or

by liking the card and share it with others on Facebook. The cards with the highest amount of votes will be judged by our hard working highly qualified elves, we mean judges. Get creative, get in the holiday spirit just don’t drink too much egg-nog while you design!

This challenge will begin November 1, 2011 and end December 16, 2011. That leaves you enough time to go shopping and still design some cards. Don’t forget to write HOLIDAY in the tag section of your design and tell your fans to rate your card or click the like button to post your design to your Facebook wall.
