What first attracted you to art? Person, specific event?

I'm not sure since I've been drawing since I was so little. It's something that I enjoyed doing and continued to pursue.

What did you like to draw draw as a kid, and do you still use those themes?

As a kid, I drew people all the time, and still do, though drawing animals and objects have also been added into the mix.

Which hidden talent do you have? Or what talent do you wish you had?

Musical talent, to be able to sing and play instruments. I don't have a musical bone in my body.

Computer, pencils, paint...What's in your toolkit?

Marker and pen mostly, to draw and color images by hand. A wacom tablet to draw and color images digitally.

Where do you do your work? Any special place?

Most of my work gets done in my studio in Brooklyn, NY. But on really nice days, it's nice to go outside and draw.

Where do you gain your inspiration from?

Sometimes I'll hear a word or expression and get an idea. Other times, a specific object might be fascinating. Things around me can also be inspiring. Lately, I've been very interested in cupcakes. So I've been drawings lots and lots of cupcakes.

What do you do you do when your not drawing?

Hmmm, when am I not drawing?! While a good deal of my time is spent drawing, I do have some hobbies. I read, cook, swim, kayak, ice skate, play soccer, all sorts of different things.

What was one of your biggest hurdles getting to where you are today?

One of the biggest hurdles was figuring out my artistic style, and developing it so that it was not only unique but felt like me as well. It took awhile but I've gotten to that point, and have had several people tell me that my drawings look like me, personality-wise anyway.

What is your favorite food?

Pizza. I get cravings for pizza all the time and can eat it day after day without getting sick of it.

Are you a righty or a lefty?

A righty.
