So, you want to upload your designs to SendASmile.com?

This is a judgment free zone! We are not here to pick America’s Next Top Designer and are accepting of all greeting card designs. However, the option to solely be a designer should be designated for those who have some experience with graphic design and not a place where you should submit personal photos of family and friends. If you would prefer to use your own personal pictures for cards, you should create a shop and keep it private so that no-one else may use those cards.

Ask yourself these questions to make sure that your design is Send a Smile ready!

  • Is this a card Send a Smile users would like and use? Check out the most viewed cards to see what's most popular.
  • Is the message clear? Does this card make you smile in a feel-good kind of way?
  • Is the card executed well? Is it aesthetically pleasing?
  • Is this card unique in it's own way? Did I add something new, or is it similar to others?


Please keep in mind the following design specifications:

You can upload standard sized rectangular or square cards, with or without an inside.

Rectangular: 3577 x 2555 pixels (portrait or landscape)
Square: 2669 x 2669 pixels (portrait or landscape)
File format: .jpg (maximum quality)

Uploading Your Design

When you have the file or files ready and know what you want the title of your card to be, you can start uploading your designs. Please register to Send a Smile and activate your account. After logging in you can upload designs by going to the "My Designs" tab, clicking on the "Upload your card" button and following the instructions.

Your design is now ready to be presented to the Send a Smile community and will be shown on the Send a Smile website.


Earn Ca$h

Once you have uploaded your designs, they will be available to all Send a Smile card shop owners who will have the option to add your card to their collection. If you would like to take matters into your own hands, you can also start your own FREE greeting card web shop and sell your designs.

Every time your design is ordered, printed and mailed you receive a residual payment.
Once you've logged in, more detailed information will be available regarding how the designer and shop owner are paid.

  • Our greeting cards are of the highest quality, thanks to our professional printing partner!
